In order to be a representative of the whole Danube appellation KAMPTAL, terraced vineyards and grapes from the lower part of the valley, as well as grapes from the upper and higher altitude part of valley are used. The grapes from the lower part bring the maturity, whereas grapes from the upper part of the valley brings us the freshness in this wine. The ‘classical’ KAMPTAL wine is low in Alcohol (11,5 – 12,5%) and has a pleasant but not obtrusive aroma and fruit character and therefore is a perfect food companion.

Vintage 2022

James Suckling 07/23: 89 points:
An elegant and fresh gruner veltliner showing bright, zesty acidity and limey flavors. Some green stone fruit and nectarines, too. Crisp, light to medium body on the palate with a subtle saline twist followed by a medium-length finish. Still could do with more intensity. (S.Pigott)

Vintage 2021

Wine Spectator - R. Parker: 88 points:
Opens with an intense and elegant nose of ripe and crisp fruits as well as spicy seed aromas. On the palate, this is a lush, round and savory, well-structured and aromatic Kamptal Veltliner with good intensity on the finish. (S.Reinhardt)

Vintage 2020

JAMES SUCKLING, May 2021: 91 points:
This ripe, substantial gruner veltliner has a wide spectrum of aromas. from yellow apple through stone fruit to baking spices. Good structure and lovely balance. Drink or hold.

ROBERT PARKER - The Wine Advocate, 06/21: 90 points
From fruit sourced in Langenlois and Gobelsburg, the Gobelsburg Kamptal Grüner Veltliner opens with fabulous delicate, tender and fresh white fruit with leafy notes and the coolish character of the good old days. A classic Kamptaler Veltliner again! Juicy, fresh and piquant on the palate, with citric freshness, a straightforward character and lovely grip, this is a cool and clear character.
