Especially the well-drained sites on the Gobelsburger Haide suit very well for red wine production. The wine is matured in regional oak casks (Manhartsberg) of 600 lt. The wine is only slightly filtered and could contain sediments.

ROBERT PARKER - The Wine Advocate: 89 POINTS
Tasted 06/21: Gobelsburg's 2018 Zweigelt Reserve is deep, pure and fresh on the nose that offers a dark fruit potpourri with lovely toasty and spicy tones and stunning freshness that is reminiscent of lemon fruit. Aged in 600-liter barrels for one year and for another 10 months in large oak, this is a round, smooth and elegant Zweigelt with fine tannins and ripe, less reductive fruit than in the Pinot Noir and the St Laurent. The wine has substance, richness and also elegance and finishes intense and with fine tannin grip but is a rather warmer style of Zweigelt that doesn't have the coolish stimulating character of the classic.
