KAMPTAL in a sentence: Soft hills, terraced vineyards and the cool winds traveling down the river Kamp stand for the finesse and cool elegance in these wines. In order to be a representative of the whole Danube appellation KAMPTAL, grapes are sourced from terraced vineyards in the lower part of the valley, as well as from the upper and higher altitude parts of it, the first bringing the maturity, whereas the latter add the freshness and vitality in this wine. Also we source grapes from our icon vineyards Heiligenstein und Gaisberg, from young vines under 15 years of age, not showing the geology of the soil yet. The ‘classical’ KAMPTAL wine is low in Alcohol (11,5 – 12,5%) and has a pleasant but not obtrusive aroma and fruit character and therefore is a perfect food companion.

    WINE ENTHUSIAST: 89 points

Delicate and firm, offering a floral caste to the nectarine, pineapple and grapefruit flavors, with notes of lime on the finish. It is vibrant and easy to enjoy. (Aleks Zecevic)

    WINE ENTHUSIAST: 90 points

A very well made white, with tropical notes of guava and baked pineapple, underscored by juicy acidity and slight textural grip. It's well balanced, showing complexity and focus on the finish. (Aleks Zecevic)

    WINE SPECTATOR - R. Parker 09/22: 89 points

Offers an elegant and finely flinty bouquet of ripe Riesling berries and indicates a fine, rather coolish, spicy and very delicate nature. Delicate and refined on the palate, this is a textured and finely savory dry Riesling with fine phenolic grip on the finish. (S.Reinhardt)

    WINE & SPIRITS MAGAZINE 04/22: 92 points

This is a gentle mouthful of juicy peach and pear flavor, with enough structure and freshness to keep it lively and bring it to a clean finish. It's the sort of white that would be good at any time, whether by the glass at a wine bar or with a vegetable curry at home.

JAMES SUCKLING, June 2021: 91 points

Attractive lemon and white-peach nose with hints of green apples and fresh herbs. Juicy, mid-weight palate with a lot of character and a lovely balance of warm elements and cool, minty undertones. Long, very harmonious finish.
