The 855th vintage from the monastic wine estate also marks Michael Moosbrugger’s 30th anniversary at Schloss Gobelsburg. Accordingly, this cuvée features a blend of wines from the winery’s past 30 years. This was made possible because reserves from each vintage were set aside in the cellar.
Given the exceptional nature of this project, our importers and distributors have reserved this wine in advance. As a result, only a few magnums will be available for sale directly from the winery or through our online store. For this reason, we must strictly limit purchases to one bottle per customer! With the 2026 vintage Michael Moosbrugger marks the 855th vintage of the monastic wine estate. To celebrate this long-standing tradition and culture in a fitting manner, the cellar team has crafted a special wine. This cuvée features a blend of traditional wines from the winery’s past 30 years. Each year, reserves from every vintage were set aside in the cellar archive. These reserve wines were then used to create the anniversary wine. The bottles of these reserve wines were cleaned, uncorked, and individually tasted by the cellar team to ensure they were worthy. The vintage batches were decanted separately into special containers and later blended by the cellar master into a wooden barrel. The cuvée contains: Vintages 1996–2000 . . . 4% Vintages 2001–2005 . . . 12% Vintages 2006–2010 . . . 29% Vintages 2011–2015 . . . 28% Vintages 2016–2020 . . . 27% Grape varieties: Grüner Veltliner, Riesling
