Blanc de Blancs in a lamb fur

Great wines and the best culinary arts that the region has to offer are showing up in the skiing resorts of the Arlberg mountain every winter. One of the centers of these happenings of entertainment is the famous Hospiz Alm balcony.
Gerald Fida has developed a special, limited Hospiz Alm Edition of our Schloss Gobelsburg wines together with the brotherhood St. Christoph and the Branding Brothers. All that for a good cause. And a lot of fun.
These limited editions are available at Hospiz Alm, but also on the estates cellar door shop and the online store of the estate.

The Schloss Gobelsburg BLANC DE BLANCS style is on one side marked by the vineyards of the Danube region and their grape varieties (Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Pinot blanc, Chardonnay). On the other hand the character is marked by the vinification in barrels made of Austrian oak trees. Grapes are harvested at the perfect moment, transported in small boxes and are immediately pressed, whereby only the heart of the must is used. After six months of cask storage, it is bottled for the second fermentation. It matures for around 3 years on the lees, allowing the wine to develop a beautiful creamy texture, until it is hand riddled and then disgorged.
FALSTAFF Ultimate Wine Guide 24/25: 94 points

Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE: 93 points
The intensely yellow-colored wine offers a very rich and intense nose of ripe fruits with buttercup, grassy and flinty notes, from a bigger glass with more refreshing citrus and intense brioche aromas. Fresh on the palate, this is an elegant, stunningly pure and stimulating sparkling wine that is less opulent than the nose. The wine is vital and lemony on the finish, revealing a firm structure and fine grip.
