Ried (single vineyard, cru) Lamm is situated on the southeast slope of the Heiligenstein. Erosion material from Ried Heiligenstein (perm, red siltstone) and a high proportion of clay can be found at this site.

The vineyard is south-facing and very well exposed. This helps develop the grapes that, after maturation in traditional double-foudre casks from local forest of Manhartsberg, result in a wine with power and elegance.
Vintage 2021
Tasted by Andreas Larsson: 95 points
Bright straw colour with a light golden hue. Pure and layered with crushed stone, flint, ripe citrus, lemongrass, yellow fruit with some peppery and herbal spiciness. The palate has extraordinary weight and freshness with a fine backbone of extract, layers of unctuous stone fruit, plenty of fine spice - ginger, pepper, cardamom and mint with a very long and powerful finish. Tremendously pure and deep.
Jancis Robinson: 17+ points
Ripe yellow fruit, pear, apple jelly and quince. A distancing austerity emerges on the supple palate, contrary to the expressive nose. Some pear peel, clove and dark, wet stone. There is an oily/minerality with appealing bitterness – much taking place beneath the surface on this one. Wait. (Paula Sidore)

The Wine Advocate - R. Parker 09/22: 93+ points
Intensely yellow-colored it opens with an intense and elegant, refined bouquet of ripe and concentrated fruits intermingled with spicy iodine notes of crystalline rocks. On the palate, this is a dense and very elegant Grüner Veltliner with fine and crystalline acidity and a long elegant finish. The Lamm has more flesh and texture than the Grub as well as more suppleness and power, but it's also more saturating in 2020. Definitely a wine to age, though. (S.Reinhardt)

Deep nose of ripe mirabelle with just a whiff of white pepper. Less expansive on the palate than the bouquet suggests, but everything fits together so beautifully. Long, refined finish with a ton of candied-citrus character. Drink or hold.

Dark and spicy with ripe yellow-fruit aromas, and a green, herbal undercurrent. Driven, creamy palate marked with apple and quince; more spice. A playful, persistent and welcome acidity cuts through the concentrated opulence to carry it into an elegant, lingering finish.(Paula Sidore)

ROBERT PARKER - The Wine Advocate: 96 points
The intensely yellow-colored 2019 Kammern Ried Lamm 1ÖTW was vinified in new 50-hectoliter oak vats and aged on the fine lees for 18 months. The nose is clearly influenced by its crystalline subsoils and delivers a coolish-mineral, flinty tone next to the perfectly ripe, elegant and finely concentrated white fruit that is discreet and refined like green tea. On the palate, this is a rich, piquant, very elegant, highly refined and persistently salty Veltliner that develops an enormously long and complex, finely tannic and sustainably structured finish. This is a great, very promising wine that assembles everything in the starting block to go a long distance. 13.5% alcohol. Tasted at Schloss Gobelsburg in June 2021.

It’s not often that a young Austrian gruner veltliner reminds you of Burgundy, though mature examples often do. The ripe-mirabelle, candied-pineapple and dried-herb aromas are married to a palate that’s rich and creamy. But beneath the waterline this is also a highly structured wine. Rather imposing finish, suggesting excellent aging potential.
