Vintage 2024
TASTED - by Andreas Larsson 04/26: 93 points
Medium deep golden colour with a youthful green hue. Pure nose offering wild herbs, pepper, grape and ripe stone fruit like peach, yellow plum and some tropical notes. The palate shows a bold texture, unctuous yellow fruit flavours, yet balanced by a fine extract and rounded acidity, spicy and long finish with good purity and expression.

From fluvial deposits and loess, golden in the glass. Sun-dried hay perfumes the nose, joined by hayflowers and a hint of lemon. On the palate, these hay notes align with mild citrus zest and a touch of yeast, presenting a beautifully concentrated mid-palate surrounded by bright juiciness and ease. The finish holds both hayflowers and lemon. Drinking window 2028-2043 (A. Krebiehl, MW)
JAMES SUCKLING 09/25: 94 points
Ripe yellow nectarines, honeysuckle, lemon curd and a hint of roasted hazelnuts on the nose, followed by a creamy, ripe and full-bodied palate balanced by lemony freshness. Wonderful concentration. Drink or hold.

The toasty and slightly smoky character of this gruner veltliner is married to a wealth of dried pear and candied citrus aromas. Wonderful, almost Burgundian textural complexity on the medium- to full-bodied palate. Long, beautifully structured, deeply minerally finish. (Stuart Pigott)
VINOUS - Antonio Galloni 06/24: 93 points
A touch of hay is all that appears on the nose, almost with an overtone of honey. On the slender, bright palate, the serene sens of cooling, peppery yest appears and stays. This runs right through the wine, tingling, shimmering and sinking into deeper soil with its lovely, gentle texture that also carries just a touch of conifer. This is a quiet soothing wine with beautifully understated but undeniable depth. (Bone-dry) - Anne Krebiehl

Bright straw colour with a green hue. Intense nose with great purity offering some stony notes, crushed pear, peach, lemongrass, white pepper and wild herbal notes. Warm, ripe and unctuous palate yet with a good vein of freshness, a mouth watering acidity with bright young fruit flavours, good layers and extract with a very long and pure finish.

This has a fragrant nose of apple blossom, melon rind, manuka honey and a hint of redcurrant. Concentrated and flavorful, with a full body and deliciously ripe and fleshy fruit riding on textured and lightly grainy layers. Drink or hold.(S. Pigott)

Cool, stony and I'm really grooving on the feather-light sleekness of Renner. It is, quite literally living up to its name (racer). Deep baking spice, citrus fruit, country lemon. Intense spice with a transparent and filigreed beauty. Seriously structured and a not-kidding-around mouthful of wine. Made for the long haul. And for those who like their wine to start with a capital 'W'. (Paula Sidore)

Offers a clear, intense and elegant bouquet of perfectly ripe fruits intertwined with delicate notes of dark stones and even hints of iodine. On the palate, this is a full-bodied, creamy-textured, elegant and well-balanced Grüner Veltliner with some lactic features but a crystalline, finely grippy and savory, even salty finish. It probably needs even more time. (S.Reinhardt)

The nose of ripe pear and melted butter pulls you into this rich and mellow gruner veltliner that caresses the palate on the front and mid-palate, but is very soft at the very supple finish. Drink or hold.
JANCIS ROBINSON - Austrias Top Gruners: 16,5 points
Ripe fruit aromas, honey and a touch of lanolin. Baroque palate with surprisingly grippy texture. Like a child playing dress-up, it’s still developing its true character. (Paula Sidore)
