In order to be a representative of the whole Danube appellation KAMPTAL, terraced vineyards and grapes from the lower part of the valley, as well as grapes from the upper and higher altitude part of valley are used. The grapes from the lower part bring the maturity, whereas grapes from the upper part of the valley brings us the freshness in this wine. The ‘classical’ KAMPTAL wine is low in Alcohol (11,5 – 12,5%) and has a pleasant but not obtrusive aroma and fruit character and therefore is a perfect food companion.

Vintage 2024

WINE SPECTATOR - R. Parker 08/25: 89 points

Opens with an intense and vinous bouquet of yellow seed fruits intermingled with saline notes of crushed rocks and green leaves. The wine is round and charming on the textural palate and more supple than the Domæne Veltiner. This is a medium-bodied Kamptal with quite intense and persistent fruit and tender minerality. Fine tannins and bitters make this an excellent, textured food wine. Drinking Date 2025-2029 (S.Reinhardt)

Wine Enthusiast 11/25: 89 Points "Best Buy"

Light and crisp, with expressive flavors of white peach and delicate blossom notes. The palate is approachable and charming, lifted by refreshing acidity and a clean, focused finish. Easy-drinking yet well-made, showing clarity and energy.

International Wine & Spirits Awards: 89 points - Silver

Vintage 2022

Wine Enthusiast 10/23: 87 Points

In this easy white, subtle notes of citrus and almond are underscored by racy acidity. The finish is straightforward and clean.

James Suckling: 89 Points

Fruity nose of sliced green pears, guavas and green citrus. Tangy and crisp with easy green fruit in a medium body.

Vintage 2021

Wine Advocate - R. Parker 12/22: 87 Points

This opens with a clear, bright and spicy, rather coolish bouquet of white seed fruits. Fresh and crisp on the palate, this is a light and perfectly fruity Kamptal Veltliner with a good, finely bitter and aromatic finish.

Vintage 2020

JAMES SUCKLING 05/21: 90 points

This well-structured and crisp gruner veltliner shows plenty of green bell-pepper, green-bean and green-pepper character. A little short, but lots of character and very good balance.
