Training on a Lyra system lets the grapes get that extra portion of sunlight for physiological ripeness and complexity. A reserve wine showing fine cassis notes in classic claret style, capturing elegant and thightly knit tannins as well as a smooth and silky finish. Matured in 600-liter-barrels of regional Manhartsberg oak, the wine is only slightly filtered and could contain sediments.
FALSTAFF ROTWEIN GUIDE 2023 (vintage 2019): 93 Points Dark ruby colour with a deep core, purple hues. Black berries, ripe cherries, a silky touch of praline, inviting nose. Complex, blackberry notes, a lively acidity, chocolaty tannins, showing minerality on the finish, will reward cellaring.
FALSTAFF ROTWEIN GUIDE 2022 (vintage 2018): 92 Points Strong ruby colour, purple hues. Wild red, but sweet berries, a touch of cherries and strawberries, some orange zest whiffs. Juicy, ripe red berry confit, clearly showing well integrated tannins, minerality, good length, already nicely developed, spicy finish.
