Ried LAMM in a lamb fur

Great wines and the best culinary arts that the region has to offer are showing up in the skiing resorts of the Arlberg mountain every winter. One of the centers of these happenings of entertainment is the famous Hospiz Alm balcony.
Gerald Fida has developed a special, limited Hospiz Alm Edition of our Schloss Gobelsburg wines together with the brotherhood ST. Christoph and the Branding Brothers. All that for a good cause. And a lot of fun.
These limited editions are available in different bottle sizes at Hospiz Alm, but also on the estates cellar door shop and the online store.

The vineyard is south-facing and very well exposed. This helps develop the grapes for a wine that, after maturation in traditional double-foudre casks from local forest of Manhartsberg, result in a wine with power and elegance.

FALSTAFF Ultimate Wine Guide 24/25: 97 points
Bright golden yellow, silver reflections. Ripe pineapple and honeydew melon in the backround with subtle savouriness, hints of apple, bergamot. Good complexity, extractive sweetness, mineral, well-integrated acidity, mango on the finish, orange touch in the aftertaste, complex food companion, will benefit from bottle aging.
Tasted by Andreas Larsson: 95 points
Bright straw colour with a light golden hue. Pure and layered with crushed stone, flint, ripe citrus, lemongrass, yellow fruit with some peppery and herbal spiciness. The palate has extraordinary weight and freshness with a fine backbone of extract, layers of unctuous stone fruit, plenty of fine spice - ginger, pepper, cardamom and mint with a very long and powerful finish. Tremendously pure and deep.
    Jancis Robinson: 17+ points
Ripe yellow fruit, pear, apple jelly and quince. A distancing austerity emerges on the supple palate, contrary to the expressive nose. Some pear peel, clove and dark, wet stone. There is an oily/minerality with appealing bitterness – much taking place beneath the surface on this one. Wait. (Paula Sidore)
